Guardianships

Should you or your loved one not have proper powers of attorney ahead of time, it may be necessary to obtain a guardianship.  A guardianship is a legal proceeding in which someone gets appointed to manage another person in terms of their finances, health care, and activities of daily living.  This occurs when someone becomes incapacitated to the point they can no longer take care of themselves.  Guardianship can be quite complicated necessitating the guidance of an experienced attorney.  Guardians are required to file complete accounting of all income and expenses on behalf of the people they are protecting.  Having represented the Clark County Public Guardian and other professional guardians, Ethan Kottler has the experience to guide you through this difficult and emotional process so you can focus on taking care of your loved one.
